Day 1 - Puerto Williams; Arrival Day
We arrive in Puerto Williams, Chile today and check into our pre-cruise lodge - Lukataia.

Day 2/9 - Exclusive Antarctica on Legend
ANTARCTICA BY AIR
By flying from Punta Arenas to the wildlife-rich South Shetland Islands, we save days of open ocean sailing and avoid entirely the notoriously rough Drake Passage. Upon landing on King George Island, we may choose to cruise to Antarctic Sound where tabular icebergs stretch for miles or into the volcanic caldera of Deception Island. As we push south through the fjords, islands and channels of the Danco Coast, we will take several days to explore its wildlife, frozen landscapes and towering peaks. We may visit legendary sites like Paradise Bay and the Lemaire Channel, and stop at research stations to learn from the scientists who work on the continent. On our final day, we return to King George Island to embark on the flight back to Chile.
EXPEDITION LEADERSHIP
EYOS’ expedition guides underpin our commitment to excellence. Handpicked by our company founders, they are experts in their field with decades of experience. Our clients expect the best; we, in turn, demand the highest standards from our team. Friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and skilled, our expedition guides are equally at home as your dinner guest as they are keeping you safe on the ice. They understand the unique environment of a private yacht and integrate seamlessly onboard. Their insights and stories bring Antarctica to life.
ICE NAVIGATION
Chat on the Bridge with your EYOS Ice Pilot as he shares his years of sailing Antarctica’s wild waters. Our Ice Pilots are unlimited tonnage Master Mariners, qualified to captain any sized ship anywhere.
LANDINGS
Switchbacks lead to the ridge at Orne Harbor. The fjord-like Errera channel is visible on one side as a glacier tumbles into the small bay on the other. A brief snowball fight erupts before you slide down the hill with childlike glee.
PENGUIN COLONIES
Watch Gentoo penguins tend their nests and call raucously to the sky after their comical commute from the sea. As you sit contemplating the scene, a curious penguin gathers its nerves to peck around your feet. Time spent with penguins leaves you elated, energized, and laughing.
WHALE WATCHING
As you cruise through the Gerlache Strait, the early morning light is punctuated with countless blows that catch the sun. A quick word from your Expedition Guide and moments later you are in a tender as a pod of Humpback whales lunge feed nearby.
ICEBERGS
Infinite in combinations of color, size, shape and texture, Antarctic ice is captivating and mysterious. Sculpted blue icebergs glide past, the bow nudges gently through pack ice floes, and tabular icebergs—some miles long—tower above as you gaze in awe at these cliffs of ice.
TENDER CRUISES
Zodiac tenders allow you to explore along rocky coasts or deep into ice-strewn waters. Passing below a wave-sculpted arch, your guide shares his favorite hidden cove. Tenders are the perfect platform to view penguins along the shore.
KAYAKING
Dipping your paddles into the clear, crisp water, you feel a profound appreciation for the scale and stillness of the Antarctic wilderness. Penguins surround your kayak as you pause to watch a seal sleeping on the ice.
POLAR PLUNGE
We pick a sunny day and stand by with a stiff, warming drink. Gather your nerves and jump! The sauna is only steps away once you’re back onboard.
WELLNESS
Antarctica is an escape from the stress of the office and the constant buzz of a cellphone. For morning yoga, breathe in crisp, fresh air surrounded by silence, or enjoy a massage in the spa.
STATION VISITS
Learning about the heroic age of exploration and science that continues to this day is an integral part of an Antarctic expedition. Schedule permitting, we’ll visit a station and even get a chance to mail postcards!
Day 10 - Puerto Williams; Departure Day
You are free to depart Puerto Williams, Chile from this afternoon. It would be our recommendation to stay an additional night in either Puerto Williams or Punta Arenas and organise flights out for the following day.
Just in case we are delayed flying back in our return to South America from Antarctica.
Please consider that our voyages are expeditionary in nature. This means, that there are no concrete itineraries, your Captain and Expedition Leader will utilise their vast experience to chart the best course for your expedition depending on the climatic and environmental conditions. Mentioned highlights and wildlife cannot be guaranteed.
We'll use the onboard kayaks to explore the polar waters for more intimate experience with wildlife and ice.
We will make use of the onboard Zodiac's and tenders to explore Antarctica every day as much as possible.

Don’t miss your chance for a whiskey or water refreshed by millenary Antarctic ice. While luxury bars in the world’s top cities can double the menu price for adding glacier ice on your whiskey, here it’s quite at hand.
We'll board our charter flight in Punta Arenas for our flight into King George Island on the South Shetland Islands where we board the Legend and begin our Antarctic expedition.
Return flight to Punta Arenas from King George Islands is also included.
You'll enjoy an open bar onboard the Legend.
*Top shelf wines and spirits are at additional cost.

Ben Lyon (Ice Captain) 'She is a true classic private yacht—and one that has been lovingly maintained by her Owner. Her Captain is well known to us, having worked with us on Antarctica charter seasons several times before. The yacht will have another refit before the Antarctic season and has ample facilities (including a large jacuzzi and several separate public rooms) to make for an extraordinary expedition. I can not emphasize enough that the yacht is in immaculate condition, and her wide teak decks will be a fantastic viewing platform'.
